The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Youth Diabetes Prevention Program's primary goal is to prevent diabetes by completing school screenings to identify high risk youth in five area schools, C-EB, Dupree, Windswept Academy, Takini, and Tiospaye Topa; grades K-12. The CRST Youth Diabetes Prevention Program staff provides consistent diabetes education, nutrition education, physical fitness activities, mobile unit services, encouragement and lifestyle coaching to our program clients and their families as well as all who take the opportunity to participate in the scheduled activities that are held.
